Das sezernierte frizzled-related Protein 5 ist ein Protein, das beim Menschen durch das SFRP5-Gen kodiert wird. SFRP5 ist ein Mitglied der SFRP-Familie, die eine cysteinreiche Domäne enthält, die homolog zur mutmaßlichen Wnt-Bindungsstelle von Frizzled-Proteinen ist. SFRPs fungieren als lösliche Modulatoren der Wnt-Signalgebung. SFRP5 und SFRP1 könnten an der Bestimmung der Polarität von Photorezeptorzellen in der Netzhaut beteiligt sein. SFRP5 wird stark im retinalen Pigmentepithel und mäßig in der Bauchspeicheldrüse exprimiert.
