Das Chemokin (C-Motiv)-Ligand (XCL1) ist ein kleines Zytokin aus der XC-Chemokin-Familie, das auch als Lymphotactin bekannt ist. Dieses Gen wurde mittels FISH auf Chromosom 1q23 kartiert. Die Sequenz des abgeleiteten 114 Aminosäuren umfassenden Proteins ist am homologsten zu den CC-Chemokinen CCL8 und CCL3. Es ist in hohen Konzentrationen in Milz, Thymus, Darm und peripheren Blutleukozyten zu finden und in geringeren Mengen in Lunge, Prostata und Eierstöcken. XCL1 induziert die Migration von Zellen, die XCR1 exprimieren.
