CD2 (Cluster of Differentiation 2) ist ein Zelladhäsionsmolekül, das auf der Oberfläche von T-Zellen und natürlichen Killerzellen (NK-Zellen) vorkommt. Das von diesem Gen kodierte Protein ist ein Oberflächenantigen, das auf allen peripheren Blut-T-Zellen gefunden wird. Das kodierte Protein interagiert mit LFA3 (CD58) auf antigenpräsentierenden Zellen, um die Immunerkennung zu optimieren. Eine Locus-Kontrollregion (LCR) wurde in der 3'-flankierenden Sequenz dieses Gens gefunden.
