Chemokin (C-C-Motiv)-Ligand 16 (CCL16) ist ein kleines Zytokin aus der Familie der CC-Chemokine, das unter mehreren Pseudonymen bekannt ist, darunter Liver-expressed chemokine (LEC) und Monotactin-1 (MTN-1). Dieses Chemokin wird von Leber, Thymus und Milz exprimiert und wirkt chemotaktisch auf Monozyten und Lymphozyten. Die zelluläre Expression von CCL16 kann in Monozyten stark durch IL-10, IFN-gamma und bakterielle Lipopolysaccharide induziert werden. Sein Gen befindet sich beim Menschen auf Chromosom 17, in einem Cluster anderer CC-Chemokine. CCL16 entfaltet seine Wirkung auf Zellen durch Interaktion mit Zelloberflächen-Chemokinrezeptoren wie CCR1, CCR2, CCR5 und CCR8.
