Katapasin L2, auch bekannt als Katapasin V und kodiert durch das CTSL2-Gen, ist ein menschliches Gen. Es ist auf 9q22.33 kartiert. Das von diesem Gen kodierte Protein, ein Mitglied der Peptidase-C1-Familie, ist eine lysosomale Cystein-Proteinase, die eine wichtige Rolle in der Physiologie der Hornhaut spielen könnte. Dieses Gen wird in kolorektalen und Brustkarzinomen exprimiert, nicht aber in normalem Dickdarm, Brustdrüsengewebe oder peritumoralem Gewebe, was auf eine mögliche Rolle dieses Gens bei Tumorprozessen hindeutet. Alternativ gespleißte Varianten, die das gleiche Protein kodieren, wurden identifiziert.
