Angiopoietin-related protein 7 ist ein Protein, das beim Menschen durch das ANGPTL7-Gen kodiert wird. Dieses Gen ist auf 1p36.22 kartiert. Angiopoietin-like Protein 7 (ANGPTL7), auch bekannt als Corneal-Derived Transcript 6 (CDT6), ist ein sezerniertes, 45-50 kDa großes Glykoprotein, das zur Familie der angiopoietin-ähnlichen Moleküle gehört. Mitglieder dieser Proteinfamilie enthalten eine N-terminale Coiled-Coil-Domäne und eine C-terminale Fibrinogen-ähnliche Domäne. ANGPTL7 wird im Hornhautstroma, im Trabekelwerk und in der Sklera exprimiert. Seine Produktion wird in Trabekelwerkzellen durch Glucocorticoide und TGF-beta sowie im Knorpel durch TNF-alpha hochreguliert. Die ANGPTL7-Expression wird unter Bedingungen erhöhten Augeninnendrucks hochreguliert.
