AK1C4 Kaninchen-pAk ist ein ELK Biotechnology Antikörper für Forschungsabläufe, die AK1C4 betreffen.

Hintergrund

Dieses Gen kodiert ein Mitglied der Aldehyde-Keto-Reduktase-Superfamilie, die aus mehr als 40 bekannten Enzymen und Proteinen besteht. Diese Enzyme katalysieren die Umwandlung von Aldehyden und Ketonen in die entsprechenden Alkohole unter Verwendung von NADH und/oder NADPH als Kofaktoren. Die Enzyme weisen überlappende, aber unterschiedliche Substratspezifität auf. Dieses Enzym katalysiert die Bioreduktion von Chlordecon, einem toxischen Organochlorpestizid, zu Chlordeconalkohol in der Leber. Dieses Gen weist eine hohe Sequenzidentität mit drei anderen Genmitgliedern auf und ist mit diesen drei Genen auf Chromosom 10p15-p14 gruppiert. [bereitgestellt von RefSeq, Juli 2008].
