Cytochrom P450 Familie 4 Unterfamilie F Mitglied 22 (CYP4F22) Homo sapiens Dieses Gen kodiert ein Mitglied der Cytochrom P450 Superfamilie von Enzymen. Die Cytochrom P450 Proteine sind Monooxygenasen, die viele Reaktionen katalysieren, die am Arzneimittelstoffwechsel und der Synthese von Cholesterin, Steroiden und anderen Lipiden beteiligt sind. Dieses Gen ist Teil eines Clusters von Cytochrom P450 Genen auf Chromosom 19 und kodiert ein Enzym, dem eine Rolle im 12(R)-Lipoxygenase-Weg zugeschrieben wird. Mutationen in diesem Gen sind die Ursache der lamellären Ichthyose Typ 3. [bereitgestellt von RefSeq, Jul 2008].
