Hintergrund

Mitogen-aktivierte Proteinkinase-Kinase-Kinase-Kinase 2 (MAP4K2) Homo sapiens Das durch dieses Gen kodierte Protein gehört zur Familie der Serin/Threonin-Proteinkinasen. Obwohl diese Kinase in vielen Geweben vorkommt, ist ihre Expression in lymphatischen Follikeln auf die Zellen des Keimzentrums beschränkt, wo sie an der B-Zell-Differenzierung beteiligt sein könnte. Diese Kinase kann durch TNF-alpha aktiviert werden und hat gezeigt, dass sie MAP-Kinasen spezifisch aktiviert. Diese Kinase interagiert auch mit dem TNF-Rezeptor-assoziierten Faktor 2 (TRAF2), der an der Aktivierung von MAP3K1/MEKK1 beteiligt ist. Alternatives Spleißen führt zu mehreren Transkriptvarianten.
