Dieser Rezeptor wird bevorzugt in reifen B-Lymphozyten exprimiert und könnte für die B-Zellentwicklung und Autoimmunreaktionen wichtig sein. Es wurde gezeigt, dass dieser Rezeptor spezifisch an das Tumornekrosefaktor (Liganden)-Superfamilienmitglied 13b (TNFSF13B/TALL-1/BAFF) bindet und zur Aktivierung von NF-kappaB und MAPK8/JNK führt. Dieser Rezeptor bindet auch an verschiedene TRAF-Familienmitglieder und kann somit Signale für das Überleben und die Proliferation von Zellen transduzieren. [bereitgestellt von RefSeq, Juli 2008].
