OTU-Deubiquitinase, Ubiquitin-Aldehyd-Bindung 1 (OTUB1) Homo sapiens Das Produkt dieses Gens ist ein Mitglied der OTU (Ovarian Tumor)-Superfamilie von vorhergesagten Cysteinproteasen. Das kodierte Protein ist eine hochspezifische Ubiquitin-Isopenase und spaltet Ubiquitin von verzweigten Polyubiquitin-Ketten, aber nicht von ubiquitinierten Substraten. Es interagiert mit einer anderen Ubiquitin-Protease und einer E3-Ubiquitin-Ligase, die die Zytokin-Genexpression im Immunsystem hemmt. Es wird vorgeschlagen, dass es in spezifischen Ubiquitin-abhängigen Signalwegen funktioniert, möglicherweise indem es eine Editing-Funktion für das Polyubiquitin-Kettenwachstum bereitstellt.
