TFF2 Kaninchen-pAk ist ein ELK Biotechnology Antikörper für Forschungsabläufe mit TFF2.
Mitglieder der Trefoil-Familie zeichnen sich dadurch aus, dass sie mindestens eine Kopie des Trefoil-Motivs besitzen, einer 40 Aminosäuren umfassenden Domäne, die drei konservierte Disulfidbrücken enthält. Es handelt sich um stabile sekretorische Proteine, die in der Magen-Darm-Schleimhaut exprimiert werden. Ihre Funktionen sind nicht definiert, aber sie könnten die Schleimhaut vor Schäden schützen, die Schleimschicht stabilisieren und die Heilung des Epithels beeinflussen. Das kodierte Protein hemmt die Magensäuresekretion. Dieses Gen und zwei weitere verwandte Gene der Trefoil-Familie befinden sich in einem Cluster auf Chromosom 21.
