Hintergrund

Dieses Gen wurde durch die Hochregulierung seiner Expression nach einer Infektion primärer B-Lymphozyten mit dem Epstein-Barr-Virus identifiziert. Es wird angenommen, dass dieses Gen einen G-Protein-gekoppelten Rezeptor kodiert, der am engsten mit dem Thrombinrezeptor verwandt ist. Die Expression dieses Gens wurde in B-Lymphozyten-Zelllinien und lymphatischen Geweben, aber nicht in T-Lymphozyten-Zelllinien oder peripheren Blut-T-Lymphozyten nachgewiesen.
