Das Protein enthält eine WAP-Typ-Vier-Disulfid-Kern-Domäne (WFDC) und ist somit ein Mitglied der WFDC-Domänenfamilie. Die meisten WFDC-Genmitglieder sind auf Chromosom 20q12-q13 in zwei Clustern lokalisiert: zentromer und telomer. Dieses Gen gehört zum zentromeren Cluster.
