HBEGF Kaninchen-pAk ist ein ELK Biotechnology Antikörper für Forschungsabläufe, die HBEGF beinhalten.
Funktion: Könnte an der Makrophagen-vermittelten Zellproliferation beteiligt sein. Ist mitogen für Fibroblasten und glatte Muskelzellen, aber nicht für Endothelzellen. Kann EGF-Rezeptoren mit höherer Affinität binden als EGF selbst und ist ein weitaus stärkeres Mitogen für glatte Muskelzellen als EGF. Fungiert auch als Diphtherietoxin-Rezeptor. PTM: O-verknüpfte Glykan-Anheftungsstellen wurden durch Edman-Abbau bestimmt, O-Glykanase-Verdau deutet auf muzinartige Glykosylierung hin (durchgeführt in HB-EGF, gereinigt aus der histiozytären Lymphom-Zelllinie U-937). PTM: Mehrere N-Termini wurden durch direkte Sequenzierung identifiziert. Die Formen mit N-Termini 63, 73 und 74 wurden getestet und als biologisch aktiv befunden. Ähnlichkeit: Enthält 1 EGF-ähnliche Domäne. Subzelluläre Lokalisation: Reifes HB-EGF wird in den extrazellulären Raum freigesetzt und bindet wahrscheinlich an einen Rezeptor.
