Rekombinanter humaner Leukozyten-assoziierter Immunglobulin-ähnlicher Rezeptor 2 wird durch unser Säugetier-Expressionssystem hergestellt, und das Zielgen, das Gln22-Pro152 kodiert, wird mit einem Fc-Tag am C-Terminus exprimiert.
Leukozyten-assoziierter Immunglobulin-ähnlicher Rezeptor 2 (LAIR2) ist ein sezerniertes Protein mit 131 Aminosäuren, das eine Ig-ähnliche C2-Typ-Domäne enthält und somit Mitglied der Ig-Superfamilie ist. Im Vergleich zu LAIR-1, seinem Transmembran-Gegenstück, weist es eine Aminosäureidentität von 83 % über die Signalpeptid- und extrazellulären Domänen auf; obwohl das eine sezerniert und das andere membrangebunden ist, wird angenommen, dass die beiden LAIR-Proteine von einem gemeinsamen Gen-Vorfahren abstammen und ähnliche Adhäsionsprofile aufweisen. Dies deutet darauf hin, dass LAIR-2 mit LAIR-1 um die Ligandenbindung konkurrieren könnte. Eine 114 Aminosäuren lange alternative Spleißform von LAIR-2 ist am C-Terminus verkürzt, behält aber die gesamte Ig-Domäne bei. Das Expressionsprofil dieser Spleißformen und das Vorhandensein von Orthologen in anderen Spezies wurden nicht berichtet.
