Hintergrund

Cyclin B1 ist ein regulatorisches Protein, das an der Mitose beteiligt ist. Das Genprodukt bildet zusammen mit p34 (Cdk1) den Reifungsfördernden Faktor (MPF). Es wurden zwei alternative Transkripte gefunden, ein konstitutiv exprimiertes Transkript und ein zellzyklusreguliertes Transkript, das hauptsächlich während der G2/M-Phase des Zellzyklus exprimiert wird.
