β-Tubulin Mouse mAb ist ein Antikörper von ELK Biotechnology für Forschungsabläufe, die β-Tubulin betreffen.
Mikrotubuli sind Bestandteile des Mitoseapparats, von Zilien, Flagellen und Elementen des Zytoskeletts. Sie bestehen hauptsächlich aus 2 löslichen Proteinen, Alpha- und Beta-Tubulin, mit einem Molekulargewicht von jeweils etwa 55.000 Da. Antikörper gegen Beta-Tubulin sind nützlich als Ladekontrollen für Western Blots. Es ist jedoch zu beachten, dass die Konzentrationen von β-Tubulin in bestimmten Zellen möglicherweise nicht stabil sind. Zum Beispiel ist die Expression von β-Tubulin in Fettgewebe sehr gering, und daher sollte β-Tubulin nicht als Ladekontrolle für diese Gewebe verwendet werden.
