Lamin B1 Mouse mAb ist ein Antikörper von ELK Biotechnology für Forschungsabläufe, die Lamin B1 betreffen.
Die Kernlamina besteht aus einer zweidimensionalen Matrix von Proteinen, die sich neben der inneren Kernmembran befindet. Die Lamin-Proteinfamilie bildet die Matrix und ist in der Evolution hochkonserviert. Während der Mitose wird die Lamina-Matrix reversibel abgebaut, da die Lamin-Proteine phosphoryliert werden. Lamin-Proteine sollen an der nukleären Stabilität, der Chromatin-Struktur und der Genexpression beteiligt sein. Wirbeltier-Lamine bestehen aus zwei Typen, A und B. Dieses Gen kodiert eines der beiden B-Typ-Proteine, B1.
