Das Maus-GDF15 (Wachstumsdifferenzierungsfaktor 15) Mikrosampel-ELISA-Kit ist ein ELISA-Kit von ELK Biotechnology zur Erforschung und Messung von GDF15.
Das in diesem Kit angewandte Testprinzip ist ein Sandwich-Enzymimmunoassay. Die in diesem Kit enthaltene Mikrotiterplatte wurde mit einem Antikörper vorbeschichtet, der spezifisch für Maus-GDF15 ist. Standards oder Proben werden in die entsprechenden Vertiefungen der Mikrotiterplatte gegeben, gefolgt von einem Biotin-konjugierten Antikörper, der spezifisch für Maus-GDF15 ist. Anschließend wird Avidin, konjugiert an Meerrettichperoxidase (HRP), zu jeder Mikrotiterplattenvertiefung hinzugefügt und inkubiert. Nach Zugabe der TMB-Substratlösung zeigen nur jene Vertiefungen eine Farbänderung, die Maus-GDF15, den Biotin-konjugierten Antikörper und das Enzym-konjugierte Avidin enthalten. Die Enzym-Substrat-Reaktion wird durch Zugabe von Schwefelsäurelösung beendet, und die Farbänderung wird spektrophotometrisch bei einer Wellenlänge von 450 nm ± 10 nm gemessen. Die Konzentration von Maus-GDF15 in den Proben wird dann durch Vergleich der OD der Proben mit der Standardkurve bestimmt.

Biological function: GDF15 is a secreted stress-responsive hormone/cytokine that communicates physiological stress to the brain.
