β-Aktin Kaninchen-pAk ist ein ELK Biotechnology-Antikörper für Forschungsabläufe, die β-Aktin betreffen.
β-Aktin ist eine von sechs verschiedenen Aktin-Isoformen, die identifiziert wurden. Die in Zellen verschiedener Arten und Gewebe gefundenen Aktinmoleküle sind in ihren immunologischen und physikalischen Eigenschaften sehr ähnlich. Daher sind Antikörper gegen β-Aktin als Ladekontrollen für Western Blotting nützlich. Es sollte jedoch beachtet werden, dass die β-Aktin-Spiegel in bestimmten Zellen nicht stabil sein können. Zum Beispiel ist die Expression von β-Aktin in Fettgewebe sehr gering, und daher sollte β-Aktin nicht als Ladekontrolle für diese Gewebe verwendet werden.
