Die Lysin-spezifische Demethylase 6A, auch bekannt als ubiquitär transkribiertes Tetratricopeptid-Repeat, X-Chromosom (UTX), ist ein Protein, das beim Menschen durch das KDM6A-Gen kodiert wird. Dieses Gen befindet sich auf dem X-Chromosom und ist der entsprechende Locus zu einem Y-gebundenen Gen, das ein Tetratricopeptid-Repeat (TPR)-Protein kodiert. Das kodierte Protein dieses Gens enthält eine JmjC-Domäne und katalysiert die Demethylierung von tri-/dimethyliertem Histon H3. Für dieses Gen wurden mehrere alternativ gespleißte Transkriptvarianten gefunden.
