TGFB1 identifies transforming growth factor beta 1 in Homo sapiens (Human). This target record connects NCBI Gene 7040, UniProtKB P01137 and related ABMIUM catalogue products.
Biological function: TGFB1 is produced as a latent precursor complex. Regulated activation releases TGF-beta-1, a signalling cytokine with broad roles in cell growth, differentiation, extracellular-matrix regulation and immune responses.
