Cyclin-abhängiger Kinase-Inhibitor 1C (p57, Kip2), auch bekannt als CDKN1C, ist ein Protein, das beim Menschen durch das geprägte Gen CDKN1C kodiert wird. Es ist auf 11p15.4 kartiert. Dieses Gen ist geprägt, mit bevorzugter Expression des mütterlichen Allels. Das kodierte Protein ist ein fest bindender, starker Inhibitor mehrerer G1-Cyclin/Cdk-Komplexe und ein negativer Regulator der Zellproliferation. Mutationen in diesem Gen werden mit sporadischen Krebserkrankungen und dem Beckwith-Wiedemann-Syndrom in Verbindung gebracht, was darauf hindeutet, dass dieses Gen ein Kandidat für ein Tumorsuppressorgen ist. Für dieses Gen wurden drei Transkriptvarianten gefunden, die zwei verschiedene Isoformen kodieren.
