Die Mitogen-aktivierte Proteinkinase 12 (MAP-Kinase 12), auch bekannt als extrazelluläre Signal-regulierte Kinase 6 (ERK6) oder Stress-aktivierte Proteinkinase 3 (SAPK3), ist ein Enzym, das beim Menschen durch das MAPK12-Gen kodiert wird. Die Aktivierung von Mitgliedern der Mitogen-aktivierten Proteinkinase-Familie ist ein wichtiger Mechanismus für die Transduktion extrazellulärer Signale. Stress-aktivierte Proteinkinasen sind eine Unterklasse von MAP-Kinasen. Das durch dieses Gen kodierte Protein fungiert als Signalwandler während der Differenzierung von Myoblasten zu Myotuben.
