OCIAD2 (OCIA domain containing 2) ist ein 154 Aminosäuren langes Protein, das in Endosomen lokalisiert ist und eine OCIA-Domäne enthält. OCIAD2 existiert als mehrere alternativ gespleißte Isoformen und wird von einem Gen kodiert, das sich auf dem menschlichen Chromosom 4 befindet. Das Chromosom 4, das ungefähr 6 % des menschlichen Genoms ausmacht, enthält fast 900 Gene, darunter das Huntingtin-Gen, das in Fällen von Huntington-Krankheit einen erweiterten Glutamintrakt kodiert.
