PPBP identifies pro-platelet basic protein in Homo sapiens (Human). This target record connects NCBI Gene 5473, UniProtKB P02775 and related ABMIUM catalogue products.
Biological function: Pro-platelet basic protein (PPBP; platelet basic protein/CXCL7) is a platelet-derived CXC chemokine precursor that is processed into bioactive products including connective tissue-activating peptide III and neutrophil-activating peptide 2. Its products support chemokine signalling and leukocyte responses.
