Atriale Leichtkette-1 (ALC-1), auch bekannt als Essentielle Leichtkette, Atrial, ist ein Protein, das beim Menschen durch das MYL4-Gen kodiert wird. Myosin ist ein hexameres ATPase-Zellmotorprotein. Es besteht aus zwei schweren Myosin-Ketten, zwei nicht-phosphorylierbaren alkalischen Myosin-Leichtketten und zwei phosphorylierbaren regulatorischen Myosin-Leichtketten. Dieses Gen kodiert eine alkalische Myosin-Leichtkette, die in embryonalem Muskel und erwachsenen Vorhöfen vorkommt. Für dieses Gen wurden zwei alternativ gespleißte Transkriptvarianten gefunden, die dasselbe Protein kodieren.
