Leucyl/Cystinyl Aminopeptidase, auch bekannt als Cystinyl Aminopeptidase (CAP), Insulin-regulierte Aminopeptidase (IRAP), humane plazentare Leucin-Aminopeptidase (PLAP), Oxytocinase und Vasopressinase, ist ein Enzym der Aminopeptidase-Gruppe, das beim Menschen durch das LNPEP-Gen kodiert wird. Dieses Gen kodiert eine Zink-abhängige Aminopeptidase, die Vasopressin, Oxytocin, Lys-Bradykinin, Met-Enkephalin, Dynorphin A und andere Peptidhormone spaltet. Das Protein kann in mütterliches Serum sezerniert werden, in intrazellulären Vesikeln mit dem Insulin-responsiven Glukosetransporter GLUT4 verbleiben oder ein Typ-II-Integrales Membranglykoprotein bilden. Das Protein katalysiert den letzten Schritt bei der Umwandlung von Angiotensinogen in Angiotensin IV (AT4) und ist auch ein Rezeptor für AT4. Alternatives Spleißen führt zu mehreren Transkriptvarianten, die verschiedene Isoformen kodieren.
