Der späte endosomale/lysosomale Adaptor, MAPK- und MTOR-Aktivator 1, ist ein Protein, das beim Menschen durch das LAMTOR1-Gen kodiert wird. Der mTORC1-Kinasekomplex ist eine kritische Komponente bei der Regulation des Zellwachstums. Seine Aktivität wird durch Energieniveaus, Wachstumsfaktoren und Aminosäuren moduliert. Die vier verwandten GTPasen, RagA, RagB, RagC und RagD, interagieren nachweislich mit Raptor in mTORC1. Diese Interaktionen sind sowohl notwendig als auch ausreichend für die mTORC1-Aktivierung als Reaktion auf Aminosäuresignale. Ein Proteinkomplex bestehend aus LAMTOR1/C11orf59, LAMTOR2/ROBLD3 und LAMTOR3/MAPKSP1 wurde identifiziert, um mit den vier Rag-GTPasen zu interagieren und diese an die Oberfläche von Lysosomen zu rekrutieren.
