Inverted Formin-2 ist ein Protein, das beim Menschen durch das INF2-Gen kodiert wird. Dieses Gen repräsentiert ein Mitglied der Formin-Proteinfamilie. Es wird aufgrund des Vorhandenseins einer diaphanösen inhibitorischen Domäne am N-Terminus des kodierten Proteins als diaphanöses Formin angesehen. Studien an einem ähnlichen Mausprotein deuten darauf hin, dass das an diesem Locus kodierte Protein an der Polymerisation und Depolymerisation von Aktinfilamenten beteiligt sein könnte. Mutationen an diesem Locus wurden mit der fokalen segmentalen Glomerulosklerose 5 in Verbindung gebracht.
