ERBB2 identifies erb-b2 receptor tyrosine kinase 2 in Homo sapiens (Human). This target record connects NCBI Gene 2064, UniProtKB P04626 and related ABMIUM catalogue products.
Biological function: ERBB2 (HER2) is a receptor tyrosine kinase in the EGFR/ERBB family. It has no known direct activating ligand and acts as a preferred heterodimerisation partner for other ligand-bound ERBB receptors, amplifying downstream signalling controlling cell proliferation, survival and differentiation.
