Hämopexin (oder Haemopexin; Hpx; Hx), auch bekannt als Beta-1B-Glykoprotein, ist ein Glykoprotein, das beim Menschen durch das HPX-Gen kodiert wird und zur Hämopexin-Proteinfamilie gehört. Dieses Gen kodiert ein Plasmaglykoprotein, das Häm mit hoher Affinität bindet. Das kodierte Protein ist ein Akut-Phase-Protein, das Häm vom Plasma zur Leber transportiert und möglicherweise am Schutz der Zellen vor oxidativem Stress beteiligt ist.
