Glykogen-Synthase-Kinase-3 beta (GSK-3 beta) ist ein Enzym, das beim Menschen durch das GSK3B-Gen kodiert wird. Das durch dieses Gen kodierte Protein ist eine Serin-Threonin-Kinase, die zur Glykogen-Synthase-Kinase-Unterfamilie gehört. Es ist ein negativer Regulator der Glukosehomöostase und an Energiestoffwechsel, Entzündung, ER-Stress, mitochondrialer Dysfunktion und apoptotischen Signalwegen beteiligt. Defekte in diesem Gen wurden mit der Parkinson-Krankheit und der Alzheimer-Krankheit in Verbindung gebracht.
