Das intrazelluläre Chloridkanalprotein 1 ist ein Protein, das beim Menschen durch das CLIC1-Gen kodiert wird. Chloridkanäle sind eine vielfältige Gruppe von Proteinen, die grundlegende zelluläre Prozesse regulieren, darunter die Stabilisierung des Zellmembranpotentials, den transepithelialen Transport, die Aufrechterhaltung des intrazellulären pH-Wertes und die Regulierung des Zellvolumens. Der intrazelluläre Chloridkanal 1 ist ein Mitglied der p64-Familie; das Protein lokalisiert hauptsächlich im Zellkern und zeigt sowohl im Kern als auch in der Plasmamembran Chloridionenkanalaktivität.
