ANPEP identifies alanyl aminopeptidase, membrane in Homo sapiens (Human). This target record connects NCBI Gene 290, UniProtKB P15144 and related ABMIUM catalogue products.
Biological function: Alanyl aminopeptidase, membrane (ANPEP; aminopeptidase N/CD13) is a zinc-dependent ectopeptidase that removes N-terminal neutral amino acids from peptides. It participates in peptide processing and is widely used as a surface marker in myeloid and other cell populations.
