Cathepsin D (CTSD) is a lysosomal aspartic protease involved in intracellular protein breakdown. This target hub connects the accepted name and identifiers with ABMIUM antibodies, ELISA kits and related research products.
Biological function: Cathepsin D (CTSD) is an acid-active lysosomal aspartic protease involved in intracellular protein breakdown. The precursor is proteolytically processed to mature light and heavy chains, and the enzyme contributes to lysosomal proteolysis and protein turnover.
