BAG-Familie molekularer Chaperon-Regulator 5 ist ein Protein, das beim Menschen durch das BAG5-Gen kodiert wird. Das durch dieses Gen kodierte Protein gehört zur BAG1-verwandten Proteinfamilie. Bag5 ist ein negativer Regulator sowohl der Hsp70- als auch der Parkin-Funktion, der dopaminerge Neuronen für verletzungsinduzierten Zelltod sensibilisiert und somit die Neurodegeneration fördert.
