Product description

Background

Believed to act as a modulator of nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChRs) activity. In vitro increases receptor desensitization and decreases affinity for ACh of alpha-4:beta-2-containing nAChRs. May play a role in the intracellular trafficking of alpha-4:beta-2 and alpha-7-containing nAChRs and may inhibit their expression at the cell surface. May be involved in the control of anxiety.

Test principle

This kit is an Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). The plate has been pre-coated with Human LYPD1 antibody. LYPD1 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Human LYPD1 Antibody is added and binds to LYPD1 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated LYPD1 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Human LYPD1. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.
