Chlortetracycline is a tetracyclines antibiotic, also called chlortetracycline. It has inhibitory effect on gram-positive bacteria and negative bacteria, and can be used to treat diseases such as Pullorum Diseases of poultry, and it can also be used as a growth-promoting agent. Excessive use of such drugs can lead to high-concentration drug residues in animal products, leading to increased bacterial resistance in the body and inhibiting the development of bones and teeth.

Test principle

This kit uses Competitive-ELISA as the method for the quantitative detection. It can detect Chlortetracycline (CTC) in samples, such as muscle, honey, etc. This kit is composed of ELISA Microtiter plate, HRP conjugate, antibody working solution, standard and other supplementary reagents. The microtiter plate in this kit has been pre-coated with coupled antigen. During the reaction, CTC in the samples or standard competes with coupled antigen on the solid phase supporter for sites of anti-CTC antibody. Then Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate is added to each microtiter plate well, and substrate reagent is added for color development. There is a negative correlation between the OD value of samples and the concentration of CTC. The concentration of CTC in the samples can be calculated by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
