Olaquindox is a quinoxaline drug with very good antibacterial and growth-promoting effects. It is widely used as a feed additive for pigs, chickens and aquatic products. It can increase the feed conversion rate and the lean meat rate of edible animals, promote animal growth, and improve breeding efficiency. Later studies have shown that large doses of olaquindox can have toxic effects on animals, and excessive accumulation of metabolites in animals can cause teratogenic, carcinogenic, and mutagenic "three effects".
