Ciprofloxacin belongs to the and has the same antibacterial spectrum as norfloxacin. Among the widely used fluoroquinolone drugs, its antibacterial activity is the strongest. In addition to high antibacterial activity against gram-negative bacilli, it also has good antibacterial effect against Staphylococcus aureus. The residues of ciprofloxacin in animal derived food lead to accumulation of drugs in the human bodyand affect the treatment of the human body.

Test principle

This kit uses Competitive-ELISA as the method for the quantitative detection. It can detect ciprofloxacin (CPFX) in samples, such as honey, muscle, milk, etc. This kit is composed of ELISA Microtiter plate, HRP conjugate, antibody working solution, standard and other supplementary reagents. The microtiter plate in this kithas been pre-coated with coupled antigen. During the reaction, CPFX in the samples or standard competes with coupled antigen on the solid phase supporter for sites of anti-CPFX antibody. Then Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate is added to each microtiter plate well, and substrate reagent isadded for color development. There isa negative correlation between the OD value of samples and the concentration of CPFX. The concentration of CPFX in the samples can be calculated by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
