Clenbuterol has a strong and long-lasting effect on relaxing bronchial smooth muscle and is used as an anti-asthma drug in humans. After entering the animal body, it can change the metabolic pathway of nutrients, promote animal muscle growth, accelerate the conversion and decomposition of fat, and increase the lean meat rate of livestock.

Detection method: Colorimetric method;ELISA;Competitive. Supplier-listed detection limit: 0.1 ppb; 0.2 ppb; 1 ppb; 0.5 ppb (matrix-dependent). Incubation time: 45 minutes. Format: Microtiter plate with 96 wells (12 strips with 8 wells each).

Test principle

This kit uses Competitive-ELISA as the method for the quantitative detection. Itcan detect Clenbuterol (CLE) in samples, such as muscle, feed, etc. This kit is composed of ELISA Microtiter plate, HRP conjugate, antibody working solution, standard and other supplementary reagents. The microtiter plate in this kit has been pre-coated with coupled antigen. During the reaction, CLE in the samples or standard competes with coupled antigen on the solid phase supporter for sites of anti-CLE antibody. Then Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate is added to each microtiter plate well, and substrate reagent is added for color development. There is a negative correlation between the OD value of samples and the concentration of CLE. The concentration of CLE in the samples can be calculated by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
