Enrofloxacin is a third-generation quinolone antibacterial drug, also known as ethyl ciprofloxacin. It has obtained U.S. FDA approval on October 4, 1996, dedicated to livestock and aquatic products. It can bind to the bacterial DNA gyrase A subunit, thereby inhibiting the enzyme's cutting and joining functions, preventing bacterial DNA replication, and exhibiting antibacterial effects.

Detection method: Colloidal gold method. Supplier-listed detection limit: 100 ppb. Incubation time: <30 minutes. Format: 20/40/80 x test strips.

Test principle

This kituses the principle of Immunochromatography assay for the qualitative detection. Itcan detect ENR (Enrofloxacin) in samples, such as fish and shrimp. After adding the sample solution into the sample well of detection card, ENR of the sample solution combine with the gold-labelled antibody, so as to prevent the combining of gold-labelled antibody with ENR conjugate on the cellulose membrane. When the concentration of ENR in the sample solution ismore than the detection limit, the detect line do not show color (or shows lighter color than control line) and the result is positive. When the concentration of ENR in the sample solution is less than the detection limit, the detect line show color (shows equal or darker color than control line) and the result is negative.
