Fumarase (FUM), auch bekannt als Malat-Lyase, Fumarat-Hydrase oder Fumarase, ist ein wichtiges Enzym im Tricarbonsäurezyklus, das die Hydratation von Fumarase zur Synthese von Äpfelsäure katalysieren kann. FUM ist eine Art intrazelluläres Enzym, das in Pflanzen und Tieren weit verbreitet ist.
Das Nachweisprinzip dieses Kits: Fumarase katalysiert Fumarinsäureprodukte unter der Wirkung eines elektronischen Kopplers, um das chromogene Reagenz zu orangefarbenen Produkten zu reduzieren; der Nachweis bei etwa 450 nm weist den maximalen Absorptionspeak auf.
