Dihydroxyacetonphosphat (DHAP) ist ein Zwischenprodukt, das in den Prozessen der Glykolyse und Gluconeogenese lebender Organismen vorkommt. Die meisten Tiere können aufgrund des Fehlens des Glyoxylatzyklus Fettsäuren nicht wie Pflanzen in Glukose umwandeln. Sie können lediglich das Glycerin in Fetten über DHAP in Glukose umwandeln oder in den Glykolyseweg eintreten.
Nachweisprinzip: Die nach einer Reihe enzymatischer Reaktionen von DHAP gebildeten Produkte können die Fluoreszenzsonde zur Fluoreszenz anregen. Der Fluoreszenzwert kann mit einem Fluoreszenzmikroplattenlesegerät bei einer maximalen Anregungswellenlänge von 535 nm und einer maximalen Emissionswellenlänge von 587 nm gemessen werden, um den DHAP-Gehalt zu berechnen.
