Product Description

NMDAζ1 (phospho Ser890) rabbit pAb is an ELK Biotechnology antibody for research workflows involving NMDAR1.

Background

The protein encoded by this gene is a critical subunit of N-methyl-D-aspartate receptors, members of the glutamate receptor channel superfamily which are heteromeric protein complexes with multiple subunits arranged to form a ligand-gated ion channel. These subunits play a key role in the plasticity of synapses, which is believed to underlie memory and learning. Cell-specific factors are thought to control expression of different isoforms, possibly contributing to the functional diversity of the subunits. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008],

Additional antibody information

Specificity Phospho-NMDAζ1 (S890) Polyclonal Antibody detects endogenous levels of NMDAζ1 protein only when phosphorylated at S890.
Validation evidence captions Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded Human brain. Antibody was diluted at 1:100(4° overnight). High-pressure and temperature Tris-EDTA,pH8.0 was used for antigen retrieval. Negetive contrl (right) obtaned from antibody was pre-absorbed by immunogen peptide. | Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (Phospho-ELISA) for Immunogen Phosphopeptide (Phospho-left) and Non-Phosphopeptide (Phospho-right), using NMDAR1 (Phospho-Ser890) Antibody | Immunofluorescence analysis of A549 cells, using NMDAR1 (Phospho-Ser890) Antibody.
