Le ligand 6 de la chimiokine (motif C-X-C) (CXCL6) est une petite cytokine appartenant à la famille des chimiokines CXC, également connue sous le nom de protéine chimiotactique 2 des granulocytes (GCP-2). Comme son ancien nom l'indique, le CXCL6 est un chimioattractant pour les granulocytes neutrophiles. Il exerce ses effets chimiotactiques en interagissant avec les récepteurs de chimiokines CXCR1 et CXCR2. Le gène du CXCL6 est situé sur le chromosome 4 humain dans un cluster avec d'autres gènes de chimiokines CXC.
