L'anticorps pAb de lapin CaSR (phospho Thr888) est un anticorps ELK Biotechnology destiné aux flux de travail de recherche impliquant le CaSR.
La protéine encodée par ce gène est un récepteur couplé aux protéines G qui est exprimé dans les cellules principales productrices de parathormone (PTH) de la glande parathyroïde, et les cellules tapissant le tubule rénal. Il détecte de petits changements dans la concentration de calcium circulante et couple cette information aux voies de signalisation intracellulaires qui modifient la sécrétion de PTH ou la manipulation des cations rénaux, ainsi cette protéine joue un rôle essentiel dans le maintien de l'homéostasie des ions minéraux. Les mutations de ce gène provoquent l'hypercalcémie hypocalciurique familiale, l'hypoparathyroïdie isolée familiale et l'hyperparathyroïdie primaire sévère néonatale. [fourni par RefSeq, juil. 2008],
