Contexte

Ce gène code un facteur de transcription qui est un membre de la famille des protéines de liaison à l'ADN à fermeture éclair de leucine. Cette protéine se lie sous forme d'homodimère à l'élément de réponse à l'AMPc, un palindrome octamérique. La protéine est phosphorylée par plusieurs protéines kinases et induit la transcription de gènes en réponse à une stimulation hormonale de la voie de l'AMPc. L'épissage alternatif de ce gène entraîne plusieurs variants de transcrits codant différentes isoformes. [fourni par RefSeq, mars 2016]
